Larry Ng delivers his enthralling presentation to our Adelaide audience
Larry presented ‘Toward Sustainable Urbanism’ at a Breakfast Presentation at the Pavilion on South Terrace. Singapore has embraced quality design and the impact of climate change since being known as the ‘Garden City’ and ‘City in a Garden’ and Larry outlined plans for Singapore to become the ‘City in Nature’ by 2030. Larry has won many prestigious Awards focused on his delivery of major projects in Singapore City.
Larry is a Former Group Director of the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) for the Government of Singapore, Prize Secretary Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize, Managing Director, World Cities Summit and Commissioner General, Singapore Pavilion EXPO 2020 Dubai on behalf of the Government of Singapore.
Following the breakfast, there was a Masterclass for Urban Design Professionals. Three case studies including the Adelaide CBD, Henley Beach Road and Mount Barker were analysed by urban design professionals and the various challenges and opportunities for these areas were dissected by Larry and the audience.
