The Mainstreet SA Conference was held on 17 and 18 September 2024 at Norwood and Unley Ovals, and was a great success!
Partnering with our co-hosting councils; City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters and City of Unley, we were treated to two great local venues which enabled walking tours for both The Parade and Unley Road/Village Green.
The Cities of Norwood Payneham & St Peters and Unley will collaborate to co-host a two-day Mainstreet SA Conference on the 17th & 18th September.
Mainstreet SA Chair David West said “It’s fantastic to have the enthusiastic support of both Norwood Payneham & St Peters and Unley Councils supporting the conference as both Councils have great examples of thriving mainstreets”.
David recently met up with Mayor Robert Bria (Norwood Payneham & St Peters) and Mayor Michael Hewitson (City of Unley).
Larry Ng presented ‘Toward Sustainable Urbanism’ at a Breakfast Presentation at the Pavilion on South Terrace. Singapore has embraced quality design and the impact of climate change since being known as the ‘Garden City’ and ‘City in a Garden’ and Larry outlined plans for Singapore to become the ‘City in Nature’ by 2030.
